Founded by individuals with an average of 25 years in infrastructure, venture capital, private equity and project finance, ICP is a leading specialist VC and infrastructure investment manager. ICP has global networks and international experience, insight and best practice methodologies. The ICP investment team collectively has in excess of 100 years of experience in infrastructure asset investment and operations.
As a parallel focus, ICP holds and manages a portfolio of investments in disruptive innovation and the fourth industrial revolution space, primarily in companies with mature venture capital at pre-IPO stage. ICP has exited several of these investments through initial public offerings and a direct public offering at favourable multiples. The bridge between ICP's two main areas of investment management was initially catalysed by the focus and research on energy storage technology and its central application to renewable energy developments.
ICP understands infrastructure
Our experience spans a range of infrastructure asset classes including renewable energy, power generation, energy storage, toll roads, ports and communication infrastructure assets in a number of countries in Africa. Recently the partners in ICP have developed, invested in and exited three wind farms in South Africa, and hold a portfolio of twelve renewable energy projects in South Africa, including solar, wind and hydropower. ICP has extensive experience in greenfield infrastructure developments, as well as secondary market investments.
